||This is a beautifully refurbished Conn 6M Mk VIII alto saxophone from 1935 (serial number: A 281689 L). The instrument has that classic dark and powerful sound that has made Conn such a renowned name in the saxophone world, especially for jazz players. This instrument was fully refurbished and serviced by the distinguished saxophone technician Stephan Howard in mid 2020, and plays perfectly. The service included precision levelling of the tone holes and regulating of the action for an incredibly crisp and fast response under the fingers. The reason for sale is that I use my modern altos for gigs more, and this instrument is too good not to be used! Included in the sale is a soft and light gig case, which fits the left side bell keys perfectly. On the recording attached, I'm playing a D'addario Select jazz 6, with a Legére signature cut 2.5. The mouthpiece and reed are not included in the auction. To listen to the recording: Click Here Please let me know if you would like to arrange to try the instrument. I have quoted for delivery via Royal Mail Tracked, but could obtain a quote to include insurance cover, if required.
