||John Storrs bentside spinet completed in 2013 by Lawrence Dodd and Adrian Dodd from a mid-1990's Storrs kit. It is made of poplar with walnut veneers on the exterior and a pear veneered interior. The soundboard is Alpine spruce. It has a number of improvements over the original kit such as the ability to transpose A440/415Hz, stapled bass jacks to improve repetition, separate hitchpins for each course, a music stand that can be used with the lid closed, decorative brasswork including hook closures and an easily removable lid. It has had very little use but has been kept in tune, maintained and is fully playable. The compass is FF-f3 without the bottom FF#. Includes a tuning hammer, spare delrin plectra, jack springs and some other ancillary items. The stand is dismantlable.
